About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide efficient, high-quality service to patients arriving for appointments or requesting appointments or information by telephone or in person
- Provide information on tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters
- Enter billing information for patients and payers at the time of service
- Follow up accurately on missing billing information
- Uphold practice and medical group standards for accurate and timely medical records
- Support providers and connect with patients as part of the ambulatory care team
- Float occasionally between Manitowoc, Sheboygan, and Plymouth to cover PTO or sick calls
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years related customer service experience
- Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients
- Ability to function in a high-volume, multi-task environment and crowded or closely shared workspace
- Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers
- Must lift up to 35 pounds without help
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; no nights, holidays, or weekends
