About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide efficient, effective, quality customer service and practice support through scheduling, coding, registration, and billing
  • Collect payment at the time of service and enter accurate, up-to-date billing information into the patient accounting system
  • Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records
  • Provide service to patients arriving for appointments or calling/visiting for appointments, test and procedure information, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters
  • Enter patient and payer billing information at the time of service and follow up on missing information
  • Uphold practice and medical-group standards for accurate and timely medical records
  • Support providers, connect with patients, and help ensure a seamless patient experience
  • Float across Women's Health, MFM, Urogyne, Urology, Men's Health, General Surgery, and Plastic Surgery clinics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of related customer service experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients
  • Ability to function in a high-volume, multiple-task environment and in a crowded or closely shared workspace
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers
  • Must lift up to 35 pounds without help
  • For patient lifts over 35 pounds, or when the patient is unable to assist, patient-handling equipment is expected with at least one other associate when available
