About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide efficient, effective, quality customer service and practice support through general office duties
- Schedule appointments and provide information on tests, procedures, bills, charges, referrals, and other matters
- Perform coding, registration, and billing
- Collect payment at time of service
- Enter accurate and up-to-date patient and payer billing information
- Follow up on missing billing information
- Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records
- Uphold practice and medical group standards for accurate and timely medical records
- Support providers and connect with patients to ensure a seamless care experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years related customer service experience
- Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients
- Ability to function in a high-volume, multiple-task environment and in a crowded or closely shared workspace
- Exposure to ill patients
- Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers
- Must lift 35 pounds without help
- Ability to work Monday–Friday rotating 8-hour shifts between 6:45am–5:30pm and one Saturday per month from 9am–1pm
