About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate performance improvement efforts and coach others in developing performance improvement capabilities
  • Coordinate department and facility Performance Improvement Committee meetings
  • Analyze performance metric trends and business-unit dashboards
  • Identify improvement opportunities and develop and maintain management action plans
  • Measure action-plan success and create records and follow-up metrics
  • Provide consultation to teammates and leadership on quality, compliance, accreditation and safety
  • Facilitate assessments and develop, implement and evaluate corrective action plans
  • Research leading practices, develop improvement strategies and share implementation results across the System
  • Use facilitation skills, data analysis and statistical process control to improve quality and clinical outcomes
  • Consult with and train staff on monitoring, measurement tools and data analysis techniques
  • Provide education and training on accreditation compliance and related matters
  • Respond to age-specific issues and data reflective of patient status

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 4 to 6 years' experience in healthcare or directly related field
  • Certification in health care quality, patient safety or related accreditation entity required within 2 years of employment
  • Must maintain competence in applicable licensure, certification, accreditation and other regulatory body requirements
  • No sponsorship or transfer of visa for this position now or in the future
  • 40 hours per week availability
  • Certification in health care quality, patient safety or related accreditation entity preferred
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • RN or other clinical licensure preferred
  • 2 to 4 years leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean Concepts preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and competence in all Microsoft Office applications preferred
  • Previous experience or knowledge of TJC preferred
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally, in person, and in writing with patients, families, agencies and the health care team
  • Ability to work long periods sitting and using a computer
