About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care according to identified needs
- Manage clients in crisis using appropriate therapeutic skills and assessment techniques
- Write treatment plans based on patient diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation
- Write discharge plans based on individual client needs and follow through with the termination process
- Collaborate with guardians and community agencies to ensure effective service delivery
- Complete patient care assignments accurately and attentively
- Document patient care and responses accurately and consistently in the medical record
- Complete accurate and timely billing information
- Design, plan, and implement effective patient education
- Maintain open communication and collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient outcomes
- Serve the High Point market through in-person care and remote telemedicine services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited school of graduate education
- Full licensure in applicable state required
- 2 years clinical experience required
- CPI and CPR training required for psychotherapist working in inpatient psychiatric setting
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Ability to work in patient care areas including hospital units, emergency room, individual offices, and conference areas
- Ability to work with exposure to potentially combative and hostile patients
- Ability to move frequently between areas, answer pages, and coordinate and communicate with staff across disciplines and agencies
