About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
  • Document patient history pertaining to procedures on physician requisitions
  • Confirm patient identification verbally and by validating proof of identity
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required
  • Consult with radiologists and other physicians as necessary
  • Select and operate equipment according to individual procedure demands
  • Demonstrate correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills
  • Maintain records according to departmental standards
  • Perform examinations and clerical duties
  • Coordinate daily activities under the direction of the Radiologist

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successful completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA Approved facility required
  • Registered by the ARRT required
  • New graduates must be registry eligible and registered within 1 year of hire date
  • 1 year of direct patient care work experience preferred
  • BLS required per policy guidelines
  • Radiation safety practices
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to assist patients from wheelchairs and stretchers
  • Ability to operate and manipulate radiographic equipment
  • Ability to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity
