  • Provide age-appropriate patient care based on patient status and developmental needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where services are provided
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
  • Time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in computer functions, electronic records, email, and digital platforms
  • Must be able to work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, 7p-7a, and every other weekend
  • Must be willing to float to Atrium Health Union, Union West, and Anson
  • Must be able to lift and support 35 pounds
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person
  • Functional speech, vision, hearing, touch, and fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures
  • Ability to perform physical safety interventions and verbal de-escalation if needed
  • Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions
  • Physical Abilities Testing may be required
