About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Use evidence-based practice and clinical decision making
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum
- Cover Women's Health, MFM, Urogyne, Urology, Men's Health, General Surgery, and Plastic Surgery clinics
- Work Monday-Friday on 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7am-5pm
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and support 35 pounds when handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies
- Ability to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present
- Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch; ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures
- Ability to maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines
- Ability to perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste, blood and body fluids, and communicable disease; protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required
