Registered Nurse – Urogynecology Clinic

About the role

- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- Engage patients and families throughout the continuum of care
- Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team
- Uphold and promote a culture of safety
- Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes and take action as needed
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely according to clinical protocols and procedures
- Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, conflict resolution, team collaboration, and appropriate delegation
- Pursue professional development, complete required education, and maintain certifications
- Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics and practice ethical decision-making
- Delegate appropriately to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and unlicensed assistive personnel
- Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation
- Float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area as needed
- Provide age-appropriate patient care based on patient status and developmental needs
- Support a Urogynecologist every Monday and Tuesday at Germantown South Clinic from 8:00–4:30pm
- Support a Urogynecology Physician's Assistant on the third Thursday and fourth Friday each month at Germantown South or Grafton Hospital Clinic from 8:00–4:30pm
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
- Time management, prioritization and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in operating computer functions, including email, electronic records, and digital platforms
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently
- Ability to lift and support 35 pounds
- Ability to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present
- Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch, with fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures
- Ability to maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines
- Ability to perform physical safety interventions and verbal de-escalation
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required
- Experience in Women's Health or Urogynecology preferred
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
