About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare simple plans, designs, calculations, costs, and bills of material according to codes, standards, drawings, and specifications
  • Conduct routine technical surveys or inspections and prepare reports
  • Monitor project costs, material supply quantities, and schedules
  • Interpret plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors or craft supervision
  • Manage project-specific material and equipment purchases, vendor relations, orders, deliveries, and invoices
  • Assist with bids and proposals for new work
  • Act as liaison between clients, subcontractors, and the project team
  • Prepare RFIs and NCRs for design changes, clarifications, and technical or engineering issues
  • Set up project cost-code structures and project information
  • Coordinate information and requirements between estimating and site teams
  • Review construction drawings, including isometrics and vendor drawings, before construction
  • Complete construction walkdowns of completed field work packages with construction supervision

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study
  • Degree with 2:2 or higher is preferred
  • Full driver’s license is preferred
  • Understanding of engineered tools/equipment, automated systems, and remote tooling systems
  • Knowledge of construction-industry software as required, such as Primavera Scheduling Software, AutoCAD, and SAP
  • Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Flexibility to work in both field and office environments
