About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and support mechanical scopes of work across facilities and systems interfaces
  • Assist with planning, sequencing, and execution of mechanical activities in alignment with the project schedule and construction phasing
  • Review M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and RFIs to identify conflicts, constructability issues, and interface risks
  • Work with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and Subcontractors to resolve technical and coordination issues
  • Track and report progress of mechanical installations, inspections, and deficiencies
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical inspections and ensure compliance with international and regional standards and project specifications
  • Support testing, commissioning, and system turnover activities, including documentation and close-out requirements
  • Participate in coordination meetings with civil, architectural, track, and systems teams
  • Maintain accurate records including drawings, logs, quantities, and installation status
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure work follows project safety standards and provincial regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Degree with 2:2 or higher is preferred
  • Full driver’s license is preferred
  • Understanding of mechanical systems, engineered tools/equipment, automated systems, and remote tooling systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
  • Flexibility to work in both field and office environments
