About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with telemedicine and in-home CPAP and BiPAP setups with patients and their families
  • Educate patients on disease processes, cleaning, maintenance, and use of home medical respiratory equipment
  • Troubleshoot respiratory equipment issues in person or via telehealth
  • Provide respiratory skills to patients in the field as directed by physician orders
  • Provide exceptional patient care and work with family members to ensure patient comfort and respect
  • Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality, including providing a private space for telehealth appointments
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance according to schedule
  • Perform other assigned job duties
  • Represent the company professionally in telehealth, in-office, and in-home environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse
  • 1+ years’ experience in home health experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to navigate multiple browser windows and screens
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Respiratory Care Field and ability to act as a resource for peers and non-clinical staff
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time
  • Must be willing to work remotely via telehealth, in office, or in home environments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to maneuver around objects, climb stairs, work in relatively small spaces, bend over, stretch, bend, stoop, twist, and lift and transfer up to 75 pounds of equipment
  • Must meet company productivity standards
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with department staff, employees, and community
  • Must be able to handle sensitive issues, conflict, time demands, and occasional conflicting priorities
  • Must be able to plan, organize, prioritize work, think critically, and solve unique problems
  • Must maintain all required licensure and certifications
  • Must meet core competencies for the position and area of specialty at orientation and annually thereafter
  • Must demonstrate self-directed learning to meet professional development and/or license requirements
