About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with telemedicine and in-home CPAP and BiPAP setups with patients and their families
- Educate patients on disease processes, cleaning, maintenance, and use of home medical respiratory equipment
- Troubleshoot respiratory equipment issues in person or via telehealth
- Provide respiratory skills to patients in the field as directed by physician orders
- Provide exceptional patient care and work with family members to ensure patient comfort and respect
- Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality, including providing private space for telehealth appointments
- Maintain knowledge of and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with department staff, employees, and the community
- Handle sensitive issues and conflicts professionally
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work and department operations
- Consult supervisors and solve unique problems as needed
- Maintain a positive and professional image
- Maintain required licensure and certifications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse
- 1+ years’ experience in home health experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to navigate multiple browser windows and screens
- Knowledge of Respiratory Care Field
- Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time
- Must be willing to work remotely via telehealth, in office, or in home environments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maneuver around objects, climb stairs, work in relatively small spaces, bend, stoop, twist, stretch, lift and transfer up to 75 pounds
- Must meet company productivity standards
- Must maintain required licensure and certifications
- Must meet core competencies at orientation and annually
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, think critically, solve problems, and handle challenging work environments
- Self-directed learning to meet professional development and/or license requirements
