About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and oversee branch personnel and supervise day-to-day branch operations
  • Drive and achieve overall branch sales targets across deposits, investments, loans, bancassurance, takaful, credit cards, and business referrals
  • Prevent internal and external fraud and losses
  • Control branch costs according to budget
  • Ensure staff compliance with branch manuals, BNM guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
  • Ensure satisfactory audit ratings and resolve audit findings within specified timeframes
  • Monitor timely report submissions
  • Act as BCM Coordinator and perform Business Continuity Plan and Call Tree exercises
  • Act as BUCO Representative, Complaint Liaison Officer, and Branch OSHA Coordinator
  • Ensure customer service levels, response times, complaint resolution, and service delivery accuracy meet SLA requirements
  • Manage resources, recruitment, training, staff development, coaching, KPIs, productivity tracking, and appraisals
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments and serve as alternate key holder for the vault and self-service terminal
  • Organize or participate in CSR activities within the branch community
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and security of bank premises and SSL area
  • Perform relief duties when required or when the ABM is absent
  • Contribute to Head Office special projects, attend training, promote AFFINBANK’s DNA and teamwork, and identify succession-planning candidates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline
  • Professional banking certifications are an added advantage
  • Minimum 5-8 years of banking experience
  • At least 2-3 years in a leadership or branch management role
  • Strong experience in retail banking sales, branch operations, and customer relationship management
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing branch profitability
  • Strong understanding of retail banking products and services
  • Sound knowledge of BNM regulations, compliance requirements, and operational risk controls
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills
  • Strong business acumen and sales management capabilities
  • Effective communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead a diverse team and drive a high-performance culture
