About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the data engineering team, fostering technical development, performance management, and continuous growth
- Design and evolve data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and scalable pipelines
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and availability while promoting sound governance practices
- Help build a data-driven culture by facilitating business teams’ strategic access to and use of data
- Implement modern data engineering practices, including version control, testing, observability, and documentation
- Partner with Product, Analytics, and Technology teams to ensure alignment between the platform and business needs
- Support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives by ensuring a robust, scalable data foundation
- Monitor the performance and efficiency of data pipelines and environments
- Connect technical decisions to business impact, balancing scalability, cost, and performance
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of the company’s data ecosystem
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proven experience leading data engineering teams, particularly in medium- to high-complexity environments
- Strong experience with data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and scalable pipelines
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and modern data tools
- Knowledge of data modeling, data quality, and data governance
- Experience working with large volumes of data and distributed environments
- Experience with modern engineering practices, including version control, testing, observability, and documentation
- Ability to connect technical decisions to business impact, with a strategic perspective and results-oriented mindset
- Experience working with data for analytics, BI, and/or machine learning
- Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills when working with multiple stakeholders
- Preferred: experience in healthtech, edtech, or digital product companies
