About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Understand the needs of business teams and translate them into data transformation and modeling rules.
- Develop and maintain SQL and Python scripts to process, combine, and structure data available in the initial layers of the Data Lake.
- Build and enhance consumption tables and databases in Databricks, making them easier for the Analytics team and business areas to use.
- Apply and validate business rules, ensuring the consistency of the information made available.
- Investigate data discrepancies, identify their causes, and make the necessary adjustments in partnership with the teams involved.
- Participate in the alignment of demands and priorities with business teams, communicating progress, questions, and blockers.
- Follow the team’s development standards, using code version control and the CI/CD pipeline in GitHub.
- Collaborate with senior professionals to solve problems and propose improvements to data transformation and delivery processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on experience with SQL for querying, joining, and transforming data.
- Experience with Python applied to data processing and manipulation.
- Knowledge of modeling and structuring databases for analytical consumption.
- Ability to understand business rules and translate them into technical solutions.
- Analytical mindset to assess data consistency, investigate inconsistencies, and challenge results.
- Clear communication skills for interacting with technical and business stakeholders.
- Proactive and organized approach to managing assigned demands, seeking support when necessary.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
- Preferred: Experience with Databricks and Data Lake environments.
- Preferred: Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD processes.
- Preferred: Experience in Analytics Engineering or in data preparation projects for business teams.
