About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead structured diagnostics and analyses of medium- and high-complexity processes
- Map, review, redesign, and document critical processes
- Identify bottlenecks, risks, rework, and opportunities for simplification
- Lead process discovery, diagnostic, and redesign workshops
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies and tools for root cause analysis and problem-solving
- Identify, structure, and prioritize improvement opportunities
- Support teams in developing, executing, and monitoring action plans
- Monitor process KPIs and investigate performance deviations
- Support the definition and evolution of methodologies, standards, KPIs, and governance practices
- Act as a consultant to business areas on efficiency, simplification, standardization, and automation
- Assess process maturity and readiness for automation and transformation
- Measure and track the benefits of continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical support to analysts at different levels
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence at Afya
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Process Management, or a related field
- Solid experience in continuous improvement, process management, operational excellence, or quality
- Experience leading medium- and high-complexity improvement projects and initiatives
- Advanced knowledge of process mapping and modeling using BPMN, flowcharts, or similar methodologies
- Experience diagnosing, redesigning, optimizing, and standardizing processes
- Knowledge of PDCA, SDCA, Ishikawa, the 5 Whys, and root cause analysis
- Ability to analyze KPIs, data, and performance metrics
- Experience developing procedures, documentation, and process controls
- Experience structuring and monitoring action plans
- Ability to lead workshops, diagnostic meetings, and discussions with different departments and organizational levels
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher (preferred)
- Knowledge of BPM, Lean, Kaizen, or operational excellence methodologies (preferred)
- Experience with process automation, RPA, and/or Artificial Intelligence applied to processes (preferred)
- Knowledge of process management, data analysis, or automation tools (preferred)
- Experience conducting feasibility analyses and measuring benefits (preferred)
- Experience with organizational transformation projects and operational efficiency initiatives (preferred)
