About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze academic and financial processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, simplification, automation, and digital transformation
- Understand the processes that make up the student journey, from recruitment and retention through course completion
- Gather, detail, and document requirements with business teams
- Translate academic, financial, and operational needs into structured solutions in collaboration with technology teams
- Promote alignment among academic, financial, operational, and technology teams
- Map and model processes using BPMN and other applicable methodologies
- Conduct impact analyses and support the implementation of strategic initiatives
- Monitor testing, user acceptance testing, deployments, and the evolution of implemented solutions
- Support corporate projects related to process improvement, system implementation, and digital transformation
- Monitor data and KPIs to support analysis and decision-making
- Serve as a functional reference for topics related to the student’s academic and financial journey
- Connect diverse stakeholders and facilitate discussions collaboratively, contributing to solutions that create value for the institution and its students
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree completed
- Experience in higher education institutions or organizations in the education sector
- Knowledge of the processes that make up the student journey, from recruitment through course completion
- Experience with academic and financial processes
- Experience in academic or financial departments, or in areas responsible for managing educational processes
- Knowledge of processes related to the Academic Registrar’s Office, Program Coordination, Student Services, educational billing, collections, and financial negotiations
- Knowledge of higher education government programs, such as FIES and PROUNI
- Participation in corporate projects involving process improvement, system implementation, or digital transformation
- Knowledge of process mapping and modeling, preferably BPMN
- Experience with requirements management and documentation
- Intermediate Excel proficiency
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Analytical ability to understand complex problems and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments and with diverse stakeholders
- Clear communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into structured solutions
- Systems-level understanding of the education business, autonomy, critical thinking, and a results-oriented mindset
- Preferred: experience with process automation
- Preferred: experience with business-focused Artificial Intelligence projects
- Preferred: knowledge of data analysis and KPI tools
- Preferred: experience with Shared Services Centers (SSCs)
- Preferred: knowledge of academic and financial systems used in higher education
- Preferred: experience with continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Preferred: knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
