About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and lead the strategic Product Design vision for Afya’s digital solutions, connecting user needs, business strategy, and value creation
- Influence product decisions at the executive level, serving as a reference in user experience, innovation, and competitive differentiation
- Lead and develop managers and product designers, strengthening a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous growth
- Structure and advance Discovery, User Research, and Product Design practices, fostering a user-centered culture across the organization
- Establish Design quality and governance standards, ensuring consistency across products, platforms, and user journeys
- Partner with Product, Technology, and Business leaders to define strategic roadmaps and corporate priorities
- Guide evidence-based decision-making using research, behavioral data, product metrics, and market insights
- Lead complex, high-impact initiatives, promoting alignment among multiple stakeholders and different business areas
- Sponsor the evolution of the Design System and the organization’s Design maturity, increasing efficiency and scalability
- Represent the Design discipline in strategic forums, contributing to the development of Afya’s product vision for the future
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Product Design, Technology, Psychology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience leading Product Design teams in highly complex, large-scale digital environments
- Experience building and developing leaders, managing multidisciplinary teams, and cultivating organizational culture
- Advanced knowledge of Product Design, User Experience (UX), User Research, Service Design, and Design Strategy
- Experience working in multidisciplinary squads and product-oriented organizations
- Track record of influencing executive leadership and making strategic decisions based on data and evidence
- Experience defining and monitoring user experience, product adoption, and business impact metrics
- Experience implementing or evolving Design Systems and design governance practices
- Proficiency with design, prototyping, and collaboration tools, especially Figma and related platforms
