About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver technical expertise for solution implementation based on Agilent products and services
- Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
- Conduct customer-facing demonstrations
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for Agilent GCMS systems, including Single Quad, Triple Quad, and Q-ToF systems
- Act as the customer voice to influence future product design
- Assist the field organization in meeting or exceeding sales quota through technical expertise
- Contribute to sales account planning
- Participate in sales from deal qualification through closure and own the technical closure of deals
- Develop and deliver technical promotional presentations at conferences, workshops, and customer events
- Identify Agilent's competitive advantages and lockout specifications
- Deliver customer training classes and provide application insights
- Work on system/application workflow assignments and solve non-routine issues within the field of specialization
- Travel up to 60% across the United States and Canada, including overnight travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's, Master's, or other University degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field is highly preferred; equivalent combination of training, education, and relevant work experience may be considered
- Relevant research and a Ph.D. are a plus
- 2+ years of experience with a broad range of GCMS instrumentation and applications required
- Experience with MassHunter highly desired
- Experience in triple quadrupole techniques highly desired
- Previous industry or research experience in Environmental, Food, Forensic Toxicology, or Life Science Research desired
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Strong project management and time-management skills
- Ability to work well with all levels of staff, internal and external customers, and partners
- Ability to work on-site and travel to support customers throughout North America
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation required if a company car is not provided
