About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the New York outbound Sales Development team of 6–8 SDRs
- Own qualified-meeting and pipeline results
- Coach SDRs to improve weekly
- Run weekly 1:1s covering pipeline, activity, and blockers
- Coach across phone, email, and LinkedIn using call reviews, live call listening, message reviews, and role-play
- Give direct, frequent feedback and follow up on behavioral change
- Set team goals and track activity, conversion, and quality metrics per rep
- Identify underperformance and lead improvement plans
- Report team performance to the Senior SDR Manager
- Celebrate wins and address challenges
- Hire SDRs in partnership with the People team
- Own onboarding and ramp for new SDRs
- Maintain outbound playbooks, cadences, and enablement materials
- Partner with AE Team Leads on SDR-to-AE handoffs and meeting quality
- Partner with Marketing and Revenue Operations on messaging, data hygiene, and reporting
- Prospect and book meetings alongside the team when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years in outbound sales development (SDR/BDR); inbound experience is a plus, but outbound is required
- Consistent track record of hitting or beating quota
- At least one promotion earned through performance
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to give clear feedback and represent the team to sales leadership
- Comfortable reading activity, conversion, and pipeline dashboards and turning numbers into action
- Based in the New York City area
- Able to work from the Chelsea office 4–5 days per week
- Experience selling a complex product is nice to have
- Formal or informal experience mentoring other SDRs is nice to have
- Experience building or improving an outbound playbook or cadence is nice to have
- Experience with a CRM and sales engagement tools is nice to have
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Amplemarket, and Orum is advantageous; comparable tools accepted
- Able to take initiative and act without waiting for direction
- Comfortable giving direct, frequent feedback
- Data-driven coaching approach
- Comfortable in a competitive, quota-carrying environment
