About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Install data center hardware, including racking, stacking, and cabling
Apply basic configurations to PowerMax, PowerFlex, PowerEdge servers, Cisco switches, Pure FlashArray, FlashBlade, and related platforms
Configure and deploy SAN infrastructure, including Cisco and Brocade Fibre Channel switching
Create and maintain solution designs, implementation plans, operating procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials
Serve as a supporting technical point of contact during delivery engagements, status meetings, cutovers, and escalation events
Collaborate with project managers, architects, account teams, and customer stakeholders to align scope, timelines, and technical outcomes
Support post-implementation knowledge transfer, issue review, and continuous-improvement recommendations
Support delivery consistency, technical quality, and customer satisfaction
Stay current on storage, cloud, and infrastructure trends and improve delivery methods and client environments
Support project-based delivery for new data center deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and system moves
Translate business and technical requirements into practical solutions from planning through implementation and knowledge transfer
Build relationships with customers, project teams, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure delivery, preferably in consulting, professional services, or complex customer environments
Ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across systems, hosts, switches, and related infrastructure
Strong written, verbal, and technical documentation skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in client-facing delivery environments
Working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems
Familiarity with automation and orchestration concepts
Experience using one or more of Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins
Willingness to obtain storage certifications relevant to the practice
Ability to work after-hours and weekends based on project schedules or client needs
Willingness to travel for client engagements and data center deployment projects
