About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain Python backend services, REST/GraphQL APIs, and integrations with internal and external systems
Implement and integrate AI/LLM-powered workflows, including RAG, agentic workflows, orchestration, and prompt/guardrail patterns
Connect services, tools, and data sources into reliable, observable workflows across the agentic platform stack
Translate UX designs and design systems into maintainable React frontend code, wiring APIs, state, and components
Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to break down requirements, estimate work, and deliver iteratively
Write readable, testable code with unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews
Help maintain engineering standards, tooling, and CI/CD practices for secure, scalable AI workloads
Diagnose and resolve backend, integration, and frontend issues
Use agentic development for rapid, quality code and stay current with AI skills
Own end-to-end features from API design and AI integration through functional UI delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in Python building production services
2+ years hands-on with an agentic coding harness — Cursor, Windsurf/Devin, or Claude Code — used daily on production work
Practical command of agent skills, rules, prompt engineering, and loop engineering
Hands-on experience integrating with LLMs or AI services such as AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, AgentCore, or similar
Strong experience with API design and implementation using REST/JSON; GraphQL is a plus
Understanding of data modeling, persistence, SQL/NoSQL, queues, and event-driven patterns
Working proficiency with modern frontend frameworks; React preferred, Vue/Angular acceptable with willingness to work in React
Ability to implement responsive, accessible UI from Figma, wireframes, and design specifications using component libraries/design systems
Experience with cloud-native development on at least one major cloud and containerization/orchestration concepts
Familiarity with secure coding, OAuth/OIDC, RBAC, logging, metrics, and tracing
Comfort working in an agile environment with iterative delivery, Jira, and collaboration tools
Preferred certifications are not required: AWS Certified AI Practitioner, AWS Agentic AI Demonstrated, AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional, Anthropic Academy developer path, AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate, Claude Certified Architect – Foundations, and GitHub Copilot GH-300
