About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, mentor, and grow the team building Signal, Foundry’s in-house ERP application
Lead a globally distributed team collaborating with developers in the US and India
Conduct regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and support career development
Participate in sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding engineers
Foster a healthy culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Partner with product management and business stakeholders to translate requirements into development plans
Own delivery timelines and ensure high-quality software ships on schedule
Guide technical discussions and architectural decisions
Remove obstacles and shield the team from distractions
Establish and refine development processes and AI-assisted workflows
Champion responsible use of AI tools and coding agents, with accountability for review, testing, quality, and security
Shape the team’s AI workflows, tooling, and standards
Collaborate with operations, customer success, and other engineering teams
Provide meaningful input during code reviews and technical planning
Oversee software supporting production and work order management, inventory and materials tracking, procurement, and integration scheduling

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in software development
At least 2 years in a management or team-lead role
Experience managing teams building web applications
Experience with Elixir/Phoenix or similar modern stacks
Fluency with modern AI development tools
Strong understanding of testing, CI/CD, code review, and Agile methodologies
Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain engineering talent
Experience managing delivery across multiple products or initiatives simultaneously
Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
Comfort with ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information
Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs, database design, and cloud infrastructure is a plus
Experience in manufacturing or supply chain is a plus
Preferred: 8+ years of software development experience, 3+ years managing teams building web applications, and experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or ERP systems
