About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help members access the right care, at the right time, in the right care setting, and at the right cost
- Serve as the primary point of contact for members within assigned healthcare facilities
- Guide members in accessing appropriate healthcare services and providers
- Explain healthcare benefits, limitations, exclusions, and available options
- Support members throughout admission, confinement, treatment, and discharge
- Facilitate referrals and coordination of care
- Verify member eligibility and benefit coverage
- Process approvals and authorizations in a timely manner
- Ensure services are within approved benefits and coverage guidelines
- Support claims and documentation processes
- Coordinate with healthcare providers regarding covered services
- Support medically necessary and evidence-based healthcare practices
- Escalate complex medical necessity concerns to designated clinical teams
- Deliver compassionate and professional member support
- Manage concerns and complaints and conduct service recovery activities
