About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the program lead in communicating with volunteers, speakers, and participants to complete tasks by specific deadlines
  • Monitor responses
  • Initiate setup of key conference and event tasks
  • Manage and update conference webpages
  • Support volunteer group meetings, including scheduling, notes, and action items
  • Process invoices and award payments
  • Perform other administrative responsibilities for the External Engagement, Engagement Programs, and Event Production teams
  • Provide administrative support for the AIChE Annual Meeting, Annual Student Conference, and ancillary events
  • Assist with meeting scheduling, invoice processing, note taking, and action items

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to increase work efficiency is preferred
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) a plus
  • Prior conference program organization or project management experience a plus
