About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle claims across all sub-classes of NA Aviation, with a focus on general aviation claims
  • Adjust first-party and third-party aircraft physical damage claims
  • Identify loss trends and risk management opportunities
  • Provide feedback to internal stakeholders
  • Proactively and efficiently manage and adjust aviation claims, including aircraft damage claims
  • Identify and report claim trends and lessons learned
  • Manage vendors, including attorneys and experts, to minimize the total cost of aviation claims
  • Report to the Aviation Claim Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong technical aviation claims capability to manage and adjust AIG’s NA Aviation general aviation claims
  • Expertise in managing/minimizing the total cost of aviation claims
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and brokers
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues and problem solve
  • Developed computer proficiency with an aptitude for claims systems
  • Self-motivated, ability to manage time and prioritize
  • Experienced claims adjuster with demonstrated ability to work independently, efficiently, and consistently
  • Must be able to adjust first-party and third-party aircraft physical damage claims
