Demonstrate technical proficiency and underwriting acumen, along with marketing and sales skills, to meet production underwriting goals
Maintain budgeted loss and expense ratios
Develop broker and portfolio strategies in a team environment
Independently manage a profitable book of new and renewal Mid Market Property business
Guide, mentor and train more junior team members
Support planning and budgeting
Collaborate across AIG divisions
Help build a culture of diversity and inclusion across the team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial property underwriting
Ability to underwrite commercial property risks across the Mid Market Property business
Ability to underwrite 100%, primary/shared and layered, and excess structures
Strong understanding of current market conditions
Ability to quickly make decisions and turn around quotes
Ability to manage multiple prospects at one time
Ability to work with regional Property leadership peers
Ability to underwrite risks to maintain and profitably grow the Mid Market Property portfolio
Ability to collaborate with colleagues internally and maintain strong visibility with broker partners
