About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop regional business plans to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Prioritize business plans through agent segmentation
- Analyze territory changes, trends, personnel changes and relationship needs; revise plans accordingly
- Develop and implement regional segmentation initiatives with the National Sales Manager
- Build and maintain relationships with BGA customers and Producers
- Serve as initial contact for problem resolution and escalate issues when needed
- Lead or coordinate training, webcasts and conference calls
- Set sales meetings and visits, prepare agendas, summarize next steps and follow through
- Partner with the Internal Wholesaler on sales ideas, case management and BGA needs
- Manage informal and formal applications to maximize placement and production
- Maintain orderly files in the designated CRM
- Report sales activity and production
- Maintain relationships with Marketing, Compliance, Underwriting and Operations
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, underwriting regulations, advanced marketing concepts and company products
- Collaborate with Product Development, Competition & Research and Advanced Sales
- Identify value-added service and selling opportunities
- Maintain an ethical and compliant region
- Operate the region cost-effectively within budget
Requirements
What you’ll need- Expert knowledge of Life Insurance (Term, IUL, and WL)
- Familiarity with Advanced Sales concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Strong listening skills
- Demonstrated initiative, leadership, problem-solving and adaptability
- State Life & Health License
- Bachelor’s Degree + Insurance designations (CLU and/or ChFC)
- FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses or ability to obtain within 120 days of start date
- Minimum 5+ years in life insurance sales
- Travel greater than 50%
