About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Become a trusted advisor to clients, from data owners and analytic users to C-level executives, on solving application needs
Investigate complex business problems and design end-to-end analytical solutions
Develop, test, and maintain web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Collaborate with design and product teams to implement user-friendly interfaces
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend systems, including CRUD applications and external API integrations
Optimize applications for speed and scalability
Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve application performance and user experience
Stay current with emerging web development technologies and best practices
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to development standards
Contribute to technical documentation and user guides
Work independently on client engagements or collaborate with small teams on project delivery
Participate in practice development, business development, and company initiatives
Develop innovative ideas and establish best practices
Manage an individual workstream and potentially a small 1–2-person team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
Experience with managing stakeholders and collaborating with customers
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
4+ years working with application development, both frontend and backend
Proven experience as a Web Developer, Mobile Developer, Applications Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role
Proficiency in React or comparable design framework
Experience with other frameworks beneficial, such as Angular, Svelte, React-Native, Swift, or Kotlin
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Proficiency in one or more backend languages, preferably Python, Java, C#, or Golang
Ability to pick up new languages, tools, and frameworks
Familiarity with developing RESTful APIs
Preferred proficiency in SQL and working with relational database systems, such as Postgres, MySQL, Cassandra, Elastisearch, or Redis
Experience with modern data platforms a plus, preferably Databricks or Snowflake
Knowledge of web development security practices
Understanding of version control systems
Experience with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and production release processes
Experience with code instrumentation, monitoring, and observability systems preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage an individual workstream independently and manage a small 1–2-person team
Expertise in software engineering concepts and best practices
Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools, such as Codex or Claude Code, as part of a development workflow required
Experience working with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and container technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes, preferred
Consulting experience required
