About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the General Manager’s direction, delegation, and performance objectives for the operations team
- Direct and coordinate physical duties and operational activities for Air Culinaire’s market
- Drive performance and efficiency standards and support achievement of operational goals
- Support internal and external customer service and client loyalty standards
- Train and develop operational team members and enforce SOPs and company policies
- Manage team performance and support global business functions in the market
- Ensure compliance with systems, product specifications, performance standards, culinary expertise, and kitchen accuracy
- Oversee culinary and logistics execution across catering operations
- Supervise and train staff and oversee food and concierge service quality and accuracy
- Support culinary events, regional menu coordination, staff training, and payroll-record approval
- Support payroll, labor processing, scheduling, performance reviews, training, hiring, discipline, and related paperwork
- Support kitchen financial performance within corporate guidelines and budgets
- Manage food safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and timely delivery requirements
- Use Shipday for catering order logistics, deliveries, delivery photos, and recipient records
- Assist with inventory, local purchasing, and receiving
- Manage cleaning and maintenance of company assets and arrange repairs, contracts, and services
- Investigate and resolve food- and service-related complaints
- Manage market health and safety standards
- Support implementation and enforcement of corporate policies and procedures
- Support sales and marketing initiatives and maintain local client relationships
- Enforce Air Culinaire’s Standard Operating Procedure as the primary operations document
- Report personnel timesheets for payroll purposes
- Support weekly company and personal expense reporting
- Manage and audit monthly vehicle maintenance logs and costs
- Support weekly accounts-payable reporting and review accounts-payable reports for accuracy
- Support monthly inventory of kitchen and locker products
- Supervise local employees in compliance with the Air Chef Employee Handbook
- Perform other duties assigned by the General Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business and culinary arts and/or equivalent successful work-related Executive Chef or hospitality management experience required
- Experience managing staff members and client relationships in a business environment
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 3–5 years’ prior experience and knowledge of high-end food services required
- Additional aviation or hospitality services industry background preferred
- Ability to create and maintain a strong team atmosphere
- Ability to train employees, assign appropriate workloads, and ensure required resources
- Base knowledge of finance and accounting principles and Department of Health Regulations
- Ability to schedule and manage labor and food costs within a budget
- Ability to manage fulfillment teams and processes, vehicle fleet, off-site employees, and associated expenses
- Excellent driving record and valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass FAA on-ramp security clearance and pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings
- Flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Frequent travel availability and ability to travel according to the current Air Culinaire Travel Policy
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply good judgment and carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions
- Ability to sit, talk, hear, handle, reach, carry, and lift or move up to 20 pounds
- Multilingual ability preferred
