About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Attend customer properties in the designated area
- Conduct site surveys and collect installation-relevant data
- Gather quote, property, and survey data to generate accurate heat-loss calculations and emitter-output requirements
- Carry out room-by-room heat-loss assessments
- Determine which radiators need replacement and communicate this to customers
- Find solutions to technical issues to enable installations to proceed
- Answer customer technical queries
- Communicate price changes and explain the reasons
- Obtain customer approval for proposals
- Create a list of materials required for installation
- Report installation-affecting issues from customer properties to the line manager
- Keep up to date with manufacturer guidance and relevant legislative changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Necessary qualifications, training, and experience to design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties
- Qualifications in system design such as Heat Geek Heating Mastery
- Level 3 Award in installation and maintenance of air source heat pump systems
- Water Regulations Certificate (WRAS) course
- Level 2 / 3 Award in plumbing
- Level 3 Award in low temperature heating and hot water systems in dwellings
- Ability to conduct site surveys and room-by-room heat loss assessments
- Knowledge of manufacturer guidance, legislative changes, heat pumps, low-carbon heating, clean energy, and building regulations
- Ability to operate within Aira efficiency guidelines and MCS requirements
