About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Attend customer properties in the designated area
- Conduct site surveys and collect data relevant to installation requirements
- Gather quote, property, and survey information to generate accurate heat loss calculations and emitter output requirements
- Carry out room-by-room heat loss assessments
- Determine which radiators need replacement and communicate this to customers
- Find solutions to technical issues to ensure installations can proceed
- Answer customers’ technical queries
- Communicate price changes and explain the reasons
- Obtain customer approval for proposals
- Create lists of materials required for installations
- Report issues that may affect installation to the line manager
- Provide excellent customer service and recommend additional products and services where appropriate
Requirements
What you’ll need- Necessary qualifications, training, and experience to design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties
- Qualifications in System design such as Heat Geek Heating Mastery
- Level 3 Award in installation and maintenance of air source heat pump systems
- Water regulations certificate (WRAS) course
- Level 2 / 3 Award in plumbing
- Level 3 Award Low temperature heating and hot water systems in dwellings
- Ability to keep up to date with manufacturer's guidance and legislative changes relating to heat pumps, low carbon heating, clean energy, and building regulations
- Ability to operate within Aira’s efficiency guidelines and MCS requirements
