About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Attend customer properties in the designated area
- Conduct site surveys and collect installation-relevant data
- Gather quote, property, and survey information to generate accurate heat-loss calculations and emitter output requirements
- Carry out room-by-room heat-loss assessments
- Determine which radiators need replacement and communicate this to customers
- Find solutions to technical issues so installations can proceed where possible
- Answer customer technical queries
- Communicate price changes and explain the reasons
- Obtain customer approval for proposals
- Create a materials list for each installation
- Report issues that may affect installation to the line manager
- Advise on additional products and services where appropriate
- Keep up to date with manufacturer guidance and legislative changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Necessary qualifications, training, and experience to design high-quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties
- Qualifications in system design such as Heat Geek Heating Mastery
- Level 3 Award in installation and maintenance of air source heat pump systems
- Water Regulations Certificate (WRAS) course
- Level 2/3 Award in plumbing
- Level 3 Award in low-temperature heating and hot water systems in dwellings
- Ability to perform accurate heat-loss calculations and determine emitter output requirements
- Ability to stay current with manufacturer guidance and legislative changes concerning heat pumps, low-carbon heating, clean energy, and building regulations
- Ability to operate within Aira efficiency guidelines and MCS requirements
