About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Attend customer properties in the designated area
  • Conduct site surveys and collect data relevant to installation requirements
  • Gather quote, property, and survey information to generate accurate heat loss calculations and emitter output requirements
  • Find solutions to technical issues to help installations proceed
  • Report installation-impacting issues to the line manager from the customer's property
  • Keep up to date with manufacturer guidance and legislative changes
  • Carry out room-by-room heat loss assessments
  • Determine which radiators need replacement and communicate this to customers
  • Answer customers' technical queries
  • Communicate price changes and explain the reasons
  • Obtain customer approval for proposals
  • Create lists of materials required for installations
  • Offer additional products and services where appropriate to customer needs
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the survey/design visit

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Necessary qualifications, training, and experience to design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties
  • Qualifications in System design such as Heat Geek Heating Mastery
  • Level 3 Award in installation and maintenance of air source heat pump systems
  • Water regulations certificate (WRAS) course
  • Level 2 / 3 Award in plumbing
  • Level 3 Award Low temperature heating and hot water systems in dwellings
  • Ability to conduct site surveys and collect installation-relevant data
  • Ability to perform room-by-room heat loss assessments and determine radiator replacement requirements
  • Knowledge of manufacturer guidance, legislative changes, heat pumps, low-carbon heating, clean energy, and building regulations
  • Ability to operate within Aira efficiency guidelines and MCS requirements
