About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Remotely monitor and maintain safe operation of multiple air separation, high-pressure nitrogen and oxygen, and vacuum swing adsorption production facilities
  • Use DCS, HMI, and PLC systems to control flow, purities, and pressures
  • Execute process-engineering recommendations and adjust operating modes to optimize energy use and maximize liquid/gas production
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to manage short-term supply availability and product inventory
  • Execute emergency protocols during plant upsets or equipment failures
  • Diagnose and resolve plant alerts, alarms, and mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical malfunctions
  • Work with engineering personnel to identify and resolve plant challenges and long-term performance trends
  • Document operational incidents, communications, and plant readings in electronic logbooks and case-management systems
  • Provide periodic on-site support for plant startups, maintenance outages, technician training, and leave coverage
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DHS, and cGMP requirements
  • Assist with safety incident investigations and root-cause analysis
  • Update standard operating procedures as directed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of experience operating a control board in an industrial plant setting
  • Prior experience with DCS/SCADA/HMI/PLC interfaces
  • Strong background in Electrical or Instrumentation (E&I) troubleshooting
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control logic
  • Air Separation or Cryogenic plant experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently, diagnose complex process malfunctions, and make high-stakes decisions under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and digital maintenance management systems
  • Ability to work rotating days/nights on a 24/7 shift-based schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Availability for dedicated office/training days during normal business hours
  • Availability for multi-week on-site assignments at various process plants when required
  • Ability to maintain continuous mental and visual attention to multiple plant screens and data streams
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Two-year technical college degree or military technical experience preferred
