About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and participate in rotating equipment maintenance
  • Make recommendations to optimize equipment maintenance and overhaul costs
  • Collaborate with and guide maintenance activities, with or without OEM involvement, to improve equipment reliability and availability
  • Guide and support onsite overhauls and repairs of large rotating equipment, especially GOX compressors
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to resolve and prevent recurring equipment issues
  • Create and update rotating equipment policies, procedures, job plans, overhaul strategies, inspections, and troubleshooting guidelines
  • Review preventive and predictive maintenance data, including vibration, oil, temperature, and mechanical inspection analyses
  • Collaborate with intercompany experts, vendors, and OEMs
  • Participate in risk assessments for large rotating equipment
  • Recommend critical spare parts and inventory levels
  • Inspect new and refurbished critical spare parts
  • Coordinate equipment refurbishments and rotor/wheel balancing at vendor or machine shops
  • Participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs)
  • Provide technical support to field locations on troubleshooting, inspection methodologies, and repair strategies
  • Support facility and zone maintenance schedules and budgets
  • Modify maintenance strategies based on RCA, FMEA, and industry standards
  • Create, review, and approve overhaul and maintenance job plans in CMMS

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time
  • Working remotely
  • 10+ years of technical experience in rotating equipment operations, troubleshooting, and design
  • Detailed knowledge of compressors, turbines, pumps, and fans used in air separation, CO2, and H2 manufacturing processes
  • Detailed knowledge of oxygen compression equipment, including oxygen cleanliness
  • Lubrication knowledge and expertise
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and project planning software
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
