About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Visit internal field plants and external client sites to evaluate existing welding processes
- Evaluate customer welding and cutting practices
- Conduct Weld Surveys and Efficiency Analyses and recommend improvements
- Advance Airgas Advanced Fabrication Sales Methodology for capital equipment, robotics, and automation solutions
- Support CNC cutting systems, robotic welding systems, and plasma/laser integration
- Mentor the wider Welding Specialist team
- Provide onsite product and application training for customers
- Coordinate installation and servicing of fixed and robotic automation projects
- Collect and report market trends, industry activities, and customer needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Reliable transportation
- Current driver's license
- Minimum liability insurance as required by the state of vehicle registration
- 4+ years of experience within the welding or industrial industry, or a similar background
- Exposure to technical sales or a consultative background welcomed
- Welding Engineering Degree is a valuable asset
- Military Welding training, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent years of formalized welding experience encouraged
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred
- Membership in AWS, ASM, ASNT, ASQ, ASME and/or SME highly desirable
