Design, build, and own backend services and platform capabilities powering Growth at scale
Build high-performance APIs, distributed services, event-driven architectures, and real-time data processing capabilities
Develop AI-native capabilities that transform customer and business signals into personalized experiences, next-best actions, and automated workflows
Independently design, implement, deploy, and operate complex backend services and platform components
Build secure, observable, highly available services and improve system performance and operational excellence
Partner with Product, Data Science, Marketing, Sales, and engineering teams to solve ambiguous business problems
Conduct system design and code reviews
Share knowledge and mentor other engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Kotlin, or a comparable backend language
Solid computer science fundamentals
Experience with frameworks such as FastAPI or Spring Boot
Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture
Experience with API design, data modeling, event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, scalability, and reliability
Ability to independently design and deliver complex backend solutions
Ability to make sound technical tradeoffs and own services from implementation through production operations
Strong ownership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively across functions and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal oversight
Ability to work from the San Francisco office three days a week
Legal authorization to work in the United States
