About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the technical pre-sales of complex client engagements for global payments and financial products
- Turn agreed business requirements into solution designs and actionable plans
- Orchestrate cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to deliver on time, on scope, and to a high quality bar
- Provide technical trust from pre-sales through go-live and early optimization
- Act as a trusted technical advisor on high-value implementations and expansions
- Shape integration approaches, system configuration, and overall solution design
- Translate customer requirements into scalable architectures
- Conduct technical discovery of customer systems, data flows, and workflows
- Recommend best-fit integration blueprints, including APIs and third-party connectors
- Troubleshoot integration hurdles and guide customers through complex configuration decisions
- Create and maintain internal documentation, playbooks, and lightweight tooling
- Channel customer pain points and integration feedback into Product and Engineering to influence roadmap prioritization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, managing complex, multi-stakeholder technology or financial services implementations
- 8+ years of client-facing delivery or professional services experience in a high-paced environment
- Proven track record of delivering cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholders, including C-level executives, technical teams, and operations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Hands-on experience working on API-based payments integrations/products
- Experience managing strategic or enterprise engagements as part of a broader account team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
- Ability to work hybrid in San Francisco 3 days per week
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer
