About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build and maintain backend services and APIs for accounts, balances, transfers and payments
Deliver features from technical design to production, with tests, monitoring and alerting
Process transfers and payments exactly once, with clear transaction states, safe retries and complete audit trails
Integrate with banks and payment partners, handling delays, errors and duplicate messages safely
Support daily batch processing and reconciliation, and help fix mismatches at the root
Write clean, well-tested code and actively participate in code reviews
Investigate production issues, find root causes and help ship lasting fixes
Work with Product, Finance, Operations, Risk and Compliance to turn requirements into reliable solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
4+ years of professional backend engineering, including running services in production
Strong in Java, Go or another modern backend language
Good understanding of microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, event-driven design and reliability basics
Hands-on experience with relational databases, including transactions, locking and query tuning
Experience with Redis caching and Kafka messaging
Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, containers and CI/CD
Ownership mindset and clear communication
Experience in banking, payments, e-wallets or another regulated financial environment is a plus
