About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform initial and ongoing training of associates
  • Supervise and direct prompt, efficient, and friendly food and beverage service
  • Control food and beverage inventory to ensure smooth operations
  • Resolve operational issues quickly and independently, ensuring appropriate follow-through with managers
  • Attend BEO and managers' meetings
  • Oversee house catering functions and banquets
  • Execute Captain Reports for all banquets
  • Meet and greet clients for every banquet event
  • Make function spaces visually appealing
  • Supervise events and team members throughout service
  • Ensure proper usage and good working order of equipment, furniture, and fixtures in the Banquet and Catering section
  • Guide Banquet Servers in table setup and place settings
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills
  • Ability to make connections with people, motivating and inspiring them to achieve results
  • Strong initiative and self-direction
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and be results-oriented
  • Ability to quickly react and motivate others to adapt to organizational changes
  • Supervisory experience
  • High school or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • Good computer skills, including Word and Excel
  • 2+ years of hotel experience or related field preferred
  • Day shift availability preferred
  • Night shift availability preferred
