About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Align business objectives with teammates and leadership in venues and the support center
  • Build partnerships across the People function and business to deliver value-added service
  • Manage all aspects of Leave of Absence administration
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for teammates
  • Coach and advise venue and support center teammates
  • Support complex teammate relations issues, investigations, inquiries, and concerns
  • Provide performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and career development
  • Partner with leaders to improve working relationships, morale, productivity, and retention
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, procedures, and policies
  • Support talent reviews and effective performance conversations
  • Interpret, develop, and launch Alamo policies
  • Identify operational improvement areas and develop venue action plans using workforce survey data
  • Maintain knowledge of multi-state legal requirements and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Partner with legal counsel as needed
  • Complete performance evaluations and address teammate engagement survey results
  • Administer and track leave requests in compliance with FMLA, ADA, PFML, and other laws
  • Guide leaders and teammates on leave eligibility, timelines, documentation, and next steps
  • Maintain accurate leave records in the HRIS system and ensure timely notices
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Coordinate return-to-work plans, transitional duties, restrictions, and ADA accommodations
  • Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and third-party administrators on pay and benefits continuation
  • Develop and update LOA policies, resources, and training materials
  • Communicate empathetically throughout the leave process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues in a hospitality or retail company
  • At least 1-2 years of experience handling full-cycle Leave of Absence (LOA) claims
  • At least 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a multi-unit, multi-state environment required
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws
  • Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent priority and time management practices, with the ability to be extremely detailed
  • Occasional weekend and night availability for urgent Operational needs
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
