About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists to achieve district sales objectives
- Conduct regular field coaching and development sessions
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top sales talent
- Develop and execute district business plans to drive market share, revenue growth, and sales-target performance
- Analyze territory and district trends and implement strategic action plans
- Partner with Marketing, Market Access, Sales Training, Operations, and Commercial Leadership teams
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, Key Opinion Leaders, advocates, and strategic stakeholders
- Support product launch readiness and execution
- Manage district budgets, resources, and business priorities
- Use data, analytics, and market insights to optimize district performance
- Foster collaboration, communication, and accountability across the district and cross-functional partners
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical business practices
- Support customers and business needs throughout Connecticut and surrounding areas of New York
- Manage workload and schedule autonomously while meeting targets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience
- Alternative qualification: High School +13 years; Associate Degree +9 years; Master's Degree +2 years
- 5 Years of Relevant Experience
- 3 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel 40%
- Candidates should reside within reasonable proximity to Connecticut and surrounding areas of New York
- Ability to accommodate occasional evening and weekend commitments
- Pharmaceutical sales leadership experience preferred
- Experience leading product launches, commercialization efforts, and market share growth initiatives preferred
- Background in Ophthalmology, Dry Eye, Specialty Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, or related therapeutic areas preferred
- Experience coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing sales talent preferred
- Strategic planning, territory optimization, and data-driven decision-making experience preferred
- Track record of achieving sales objectives and district performance goals preferred
- Ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals, Key Opinion Leaders, and strategic customers preferred
- Cross-functional collaboration experience preferred
- Exceptional communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills preferred
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities preferred
- Results-oriented leadership, accountability, adaptability, and execution in a dynamic business environment preferred
