About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide hands-on clinical training and ongoing education to surgeons and operating room staff on the approved use of Alcon's cataract and refractive surgical device portfolio
  • Deliver on-site and remote clinical application support, respond to customer inquiries, troubleshoot clinical and technical issues, and support equipment installations and software upgrades with Field Service Engineers and Sales Representatives
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and maintain customer engagement and satisfaction through proactive support and follow-up
  • Support medical congresses, workshops, demonstrations, wet labs, and educational events
  • Gather and share clinical insights contributing to continuous product and service improvement
  • Document site visits, report adverse events and device deficiencies, maintain certifications, and adhere to GxP requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Orthoptics, Optometry
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical support, medical devices, healthcare, surgical environments, or a related customer-facing technical role
  • Experience delivering training, education or clinical support to healthcare professionals
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and explain complex surgical technologies and medical devices
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with surgeons, clinical staff, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Commitment to compliance, quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement
  • Fluency in the local language; proficiency in English preferred
