About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead multiple technical projects involving external manufacturing partners
- Develop, implement, and evaluate production materials, equipment, and technologies
- Transfer manufacturing processes and technology from R&D to manufacturing sites or between sites
- Evaluate and manage manufacturing capacity at external manufacturing partners
- Develop and implement standard manufacturing procedures
- Evaluate production processes to reduce costs and improve product quality
- Conduct manufacturing research and development addressing production cost and quality issues
- Arrange equipment and tools to support production
- Select and communicate with vendors regarding product specifications and delivery
- Manage product lifecycles to ensure continuity of supply
- Identify and qualify alternate materials or suppliers
- Engage with research and development, commercial, and quality functions
- Make critical project decisions using project management, advanced problem-solving, and technical expertise
- Stay current with advances in the field and test, iterate, and refine solutions
- Adhere to GxP regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, documentation, quality control, and required training
- Contribute to organizational compliance and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience
- Alternative qualification: high school plus 15 years of experience, associate degree plus 11 years of experience, M.S. plus 4 years of experience, or PhD plus 3 years of experience
- 7 years of relevant experience
- 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience
- Fluency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
- No sponsorship available
- Preferred: ability to speak Mandarin
