About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the full payroll processing cycle for the various companies within Groupe Carbo
- Process payroll adjustments, deductions, employee benefits, and other required items
- Prepare and follow up on Records of Employment
- Handle CCQ-related follow-ups, including workforce movements, rates, competency cards, and various exceptions
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of information required for payroll processing
- Complete required filings and follow-ups with various government agencies
- Prepare year-end payroll documents, including T4s and RL-1 slips
- Manage group insurance follow-ups
- Answer employee questions regarding their payroll
- Coordinate follow-ups with external agencies and stakeholders
- Contribute to maintaining and improving reliable, efficient, and rigorous payroll processes
- Work under the supervision of the Financial Controller and in close collaboration with Human Resources
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant training in accounting, business administration, or a related field; a vocational diploma or college diploma is preferred
- Hands-on experience processing payroll
- Experience in the construction industry
- Good knowledge of CCQ payroll rules and requirements
- Strong knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of Nethris is considered an asset
- Excellent command of French
- Rigor, reliability, and strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and autonomy, with the ability to manage multiple files and meet firm deadlines
- Discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism
- Ability to answer employee questions clearly and diplomatically
- Ability to collaborate with different teams

- Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week
