About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the point of contact for all tax matters in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
- Prepare and review tax returns, particularly VAT, income tax, and transfer pricing filings
- Analyze tax requirements and translate them into practical instructions for non-tax teams
- Collaborate with local and international teams, external tax advisors, and government authorities
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and the timely submission of filings
- Support tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
- Prepare supporting documentation for tax audits and inquiries from government authorities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training in taxation, accounting, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in taxation, particularly German tax law
- Knowledge of Austrian and Swiss tax law is an advantage
- Experience with international tax matters, such as transfer pricing and EU cross-border VAT
- Excellent German and English skills
- Strong analytical thinking and an independent, structured approach to work
- Excellent, clear communication skills and a strong team spirit
- Ability to explain tax matters clearly and understandably
- Proficiency in MS365, particularly advanced Excel skills
- Experience with tax or ERP systems is desirable
