About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Operations, application development teams, and production support teams, including Db2 and CICS
- Ensure non-disruptive installations of system and program products
- Adhere to organizational change management policies
- Evaluate and implement new products
- Plan and execute z/OS installation, configuration, and upgrades
- Install and maintain SAS and BMC IOA Control products, including Control-M/D and Strobe
- Monitor system utilization, compile reports, and identify trends or potential issues
- Contribute to the continuity and efficiency of mainframe operations under senior team guidance
- Participate in mentoring and training for technical development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Applicants must reside in the United States in one of the 50 States or the District of Columbia
- Proof of US citizenship required at time of hire
- Must successfully complete the IBM z Skills GSAP MSA 1 during the first year of employment
- Experience as a z/OS mainframe systems programmer helpful
- Experience with z/OS operating systems
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship
- Successful completion of a background check and any position-required checks
