About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver highly scalable, available, and fault-tolerant production applications
Help prevent and investigate production issues
Build architecture designs, influence the product roadmap, and own new projects
Lead code and design reviews
Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
Write clean code to develop functional applications
Identify system bottlenecks and optimize performance
Lead developers and collaborate with designers and product owners to identify new features
Manage technologies to improve legacy applications
Gather and address technical and design requirements
Set up and maintain environment configurations and monitor system health
Provide training and support to internal teams
Mentor others, lead sprint planning, delegate assignments, and participate in project planning
Introduce and enhance tools for automation and service operability
Interface with customers and business stakeholders to deliver software products
Establish and maintain engineering organization standards
Respond to on-call incidents and resolve critical disruptions to minimize downtime

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 12 years of related experience; or 8 years and an advanced degree
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, another related field, or equivalent work experience
Exceptional programming skills in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#
Proven full stack development experience
Exceptional experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular, HTML, and CSS
Experience with mobile application development using Native SDK or cross-platform technologies such as Flutter
In-depth understanding of the entire software development process
Experience developing and deploying applications for Cloud Native Infrastructure
Experience building applications in microservices architecture with an API-first mindset
Advanced experience building and deploying applications using Kubernetes
Advanced experience with OpenTelemetry
Proven ability to plan and lead complicated technical projects across several teams
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
Ability to lift 5–10 pounds unassisted and perform required physical movements
Must be eligible to work in the US for full-time employment; employment sponsorship is unavailable
